Roles and Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing new or changing existing web applications/APIs.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting web applications and APIs.
- Writing and maintaining reliable Ruby / Rails code.
- Integrating with data storage solutions such as database, file storage or object storage.
- Creating services using microservices architecture.
- Dockerize the application / service
- Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs.
- Integrating user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.
- Connecting applications with other internal or third party systems.
Must Have Skills:
- Experience: Over 7 years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails.
- Expertise: Proficiency in either Sidekiq or Shoryuken, showcasing a deep understanding of background job processing.
- Frontend Knowledge: Solid knowledge in React and Typescript, demonstrating the ability to work with modern frontend technologies.
- Cloud Computing: Familiarity with AWS, with a specific emphasis on SQS (Simple Queue Service).
- Willing to work in EST hours.
Qualification:
- BE/B.Tech or Equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field.
