Hunter Industries is seeking a Quality Electrical Engineer who identifies and leads strategic objectives to improve operating efficiencies, reduce defects and variation, and improve customer satisfaction. Supports Global Contract Manufacturing Operations based on the utilization of Six-Sigma, ISO-9001, and LEAN manufacturing principles.
Essential Functions:
- Inspects, tests, audits or measures materials, parts, products, installations, processes, and procedures for conformance to specifications. Prepares, communicates, and maintains reports and records using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software.
- Follows the instruction documents, reads various schematic diagrams, and uses various equipment such as an oscilloscope and multi-meter.
- Assembles electronic and mechanical parts and test fixtures using hand tools, soldering equipment, proprietary equipment and processes, schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.
- Solders Surface Mounted and Through-Hole components for both assembly and re-work in accordance with IPC standards.
- Fabricates, assembles, and repairs test fixtures and equipment for production and finished goods.
- Conducts manual testing procedures of electronic circuits.
- Analyzes, identifies, and repairs circuit boards.
- Researches and identifies root cause (hardware and software revision) of product test failures.
- Interfaces with local Engineering team to resolve issues and report out to Hunter.
- Assists in new product line set-up and verification.
- Works closely with Contract Manufacturers and Hunter Industries (USA) Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Supply Chain Management to ensure all components and finished goods are of optimal quality and meet expectations of quality.
- Drives programs and procedures resulting in continuous process improvement and measurable advances in overall product quality.
- Trains personnel engaged in the measuring and testing of product/process for quality and reliability.
- Supports qualification process for new product introduction as well as new capacity tooling. Direct initiatives to ensures all measurement methods and systems adhere to engineering requirements as well as the specified capabilities and GRR levels.
- Under the appropriate guidance, verifies and responds to Non-Conforming Material Review (NCMR) and Corrective Action (CA) systems.
- Creates work instructions or procedures for processes that require documentation by working with cross-functional groups.
- Takes a leadership role when discussing inspection results with those responsible for products and recommends necessary corrective actions.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience Required and Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in engineering or equivalent discipline, inclusive of two years of experience in electronics assembly.

- Ability to use a variety of precision measuring and testing equipment.

- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport.
- Strong practical skills with basic electronics knowledge.
- Requires good time management skills and ability to organize one’s own schedule.
- Fast learner, quick to adapt, dedicated and determined to learn something new.
- Ability to solder SMT components, wire wrapping and assemble custom test equipment.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with sense of urgency.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or LEAN manufacturing experience is preferred.

The salary for this opportunity ranges from CNY 153,000 - 220,000
The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
