The QNX Vertical Platforms are complete, integrated and tested automotive software stacks including low-level embedded OS and drivers, middleware, and application frameworks. The QNX Vertical Platforms are built using QNX Safety certified real-time embedded OS and Safety certified Hypervisor allowing multiple application environments on an integrated high-end chipset. Technologies include multimedia, navigation, voice recognition, graphics, browser, Bluetooth, audio, and smart phone connectivity. The QNX Test Team is looking for a Software Tester to support system level integration, create and execute tests supporting internal development and customer activities with focus on the following:
- Hands-on System Software testing, Automation, Integration testing and unit/coverage testing on below combinations of Embedded software:
- QNX real-time OS
- QNX Hypervisor
- BSPs (x86 & ARM architecture)
- Middleware components for multimedia, graphics, audio etc.
- QNX Cloud Solutions
- Create or update test plans, test cases based on product requirements or customer requirements or identified problems
- Develop and optimize automation test cases with continuous improvements in Test coverage and efficiency.
- Run a series of tests against new software loads on reference or customer hardware
- Debug, analyze test results, generate and update defect reports, verify resolved issues.
- Recreation of observed issues through a variety of techniques for root cause analysis
- Produce test reports based on test results with high attention to details
- Collaboration with other test and development teams
- May maintain Automation suite and Automation related hardware
- Mentor Juniors to scale up on the projects or when blocked
- Ensure QMS process is 100% adhered, Follow and ensure compliance to workplace operating and environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines
You will have:
- Senior level experience in Embedded software testing
- Strong Experience on C Programming, Python & shell scripting
- Thorough knowledge on UNIX Internals
- Strong experience in IPC Programming on any RTOS / Linux
- Good knowledge with common processor architectures (i.e. x86/ARM)
- Working knowledge of QNX / Linux operating systems
- Thorough knowledge with source versioning, problem reporting and Continuous Integration build systems (SVN, Git, JIRA & Jenkins)
- Ability to work and participate in a team setting with an open collaborative style
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills are necessary
- Enthusiasm, a passion for quality and a desire to learn about new technologies is a requirement!
