The role also maintains test documentation and collaborates with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders to ensure quality across enterprise applications.
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled QA Engineer with strong expertise in test automation using Playwright and JavaScript, along with hands-on experience in integration testing. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of modern QA practices, API validation, end-to-end testing, and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery across integrated enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and JavaScript.
- Develop robust automation frameworks for UI and end-to-end testing.
- Perform comprehensive integration testing across multiple applications and APIs.
- Validate REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and integration test suites.
- Collaborate with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
- Participate in requirement analysis and provide QA inputs during sprint planning.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain test plans, test cases, defect reports, and automation documentation.
- Ensure quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.
- Proficiency in JavaScript for test automation.
- Extensive experience in Integration Testing of enterprise applications.
- Experience testing REST APIs and web services.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Good to Have
- Experience working with retail, eCommerce, or digital commerce platforms.
- Exposure to cloud-based applications and microservices architecture.
- Experience with performance or security testing.
- Knowledge of SQL for backend data validation.
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments.
