We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in Manual and Functional Testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in test case preparation, test execution, defect identification, and reporting.
The candidate should possess good analytical and logical-thinking skills, a strong understanding of software testing concepts, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and other team members in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze functional requirements and understand application workflows.
Prepare and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on requirements.
Perform manual and functional testing of web applications.
Execute Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Integration, and System Testing.
Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA or similar defect management tools.
Perform defect retesting and regression testing to ensure issues are resolved.
Validate application functionality against requirements and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with developers to understand, reproduce, and resolve defects.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
Maintain test documentation and ensure adequate test coverage.
Support basic API testing and database validation wherever required.
Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Required Skills:
1–3 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
Good understanding of Functional Testing concepts and methodologies.
Experience in preparing and executing test cases and test scenarios.
Knowledge of Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Integration, and System Testing.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Experience in defect reporting, tracking, and management using JIRA or similar tools.
Ability to analyze requirements and identify potential defects, gaps, and edge cases.
Good understanding of bug life cycle and defect management processes.
Good to Have:
Basic knowledge of API Testing using Postman.
Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
Familiarity with Confluence or similar documentation tools.
Basic understanding of UAT and requirement traceability.
