The QA Architect will design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks while collaborating with development teams to ensure software quality. Responsibilities include creating automated tests, developing test plans, estimating and coordinating testing activities, tracking bugs, and refining testing processes for multiple applications.

- Seeking an astute individual that has a strong technical foundation with the additional ability to be hands-on with the broader engineering team as part of the development/deployment cycle, and deep knowledge of industry best practices, with the ability to implement them working with both the platform, and the product teams.
Scope:
- Core responsibilities to include write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically. Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system
Our current technical environment:
- Software: Java, Springboot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, Rest API, OAuth
- Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, event driven, secure multi-tenant Microservices architecture.
- Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, HD insight, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)
- Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Springboot, Gradle GIT, Ignite, Selenium, JMeter, Blaze meter.
What you’ll do:
- Establish design principles for QA automation present options and recommendations as needed
- Design and maintain the test automation frameworks
- Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios
- Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases.
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
What we are looking for:
- BE/B. Tech or ME/M. Tech or MCA and minimum 5-7 years of experience in Quality Engineering of large and complex enterprise applications.
- Knowledge in Python/Java
- Experience in testing Web Application or Cloud applications.
- Knowledge in TestNG/JUnit or JS (Jest/Jasmine/Mocha & Chai)
- Knowledge in Testing of RESTful web services
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Demonstrates the ability to install and configure relevant products on all supported platforms in all supported configurations
- Works with development team to provide inputs to fix issues and possible solutions to problems
- Demonstrates problem solving and innovation ability
