Principal Software Quality Engineer

The Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven expertise in software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, with a strong focus on both manual and automated testing.
- Experience with Agile development processes and continuous integration practices.
- Strong programming and scripting skills, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and mentor a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience working with cloud technologies and services is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and manage offshore teams.
- Work hours from 4 pm-1 am (1 hour lunch break)

The Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and execution of comprehensive test strategies for complex software systems.
- Mentor and manage a team of software quality engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the successful execution of testing activities.
- Collaborate with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to define system requirements and ensure they are met with high-quality solutions.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and scripts, driving continuous improvement in testing efficiency and coverage.
- Identify, track, and manage software defects, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner and performing thorough regression testing as needed.
- Develop and enforce quality assurance processes that align with Agile development methodologies and support continuous integration and delivery.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, using data-driven insights to drive improvements in product quality and team performance.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the software engineering organization, ensuring that best practices are shared and adopted across teams.
