Job Description: Architect Database Administrator (SQL DBA)
8+ years of experience and expertise in SQL Server and systems architecture design, development and implementation.
The Principal SQL Server Database will be responsible for performance tuning, designing, implementing, and maintaining complex SQL Server databasesto support our enterprise applications. Thisrole requires extensive experience with SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, data modeling, and database security.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement high-availability, scalable, and secure SQL Server databases
- Collaborate with application developers to design database solutions that meet business requirements.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing, and storage optimization.
- Implement best practices for database maintenance, including backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensure the security of the database infrastructure, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- In depth understanding of SQL Server AlwaysOn architecture with multi subnet.
- Exposure to SQL Sentry monitoring tool
- Exposure to AWS EC2, S3 services
- Knowledge on Powershell Scripting
- Knowledge on MONGODB Administration is add on
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database administrators and developers.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to database management and architecture.
Required skills :
- Extensive experience with SQL Server versions (2016, 2019, or later).
- Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and database scripting.
- Strong knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
- Familiarity with database security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience in SQL server high availability solutions (Logshipping, AlwaysOn)
- Experience with SQL Server Analysis and Reporting Components (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
