Data Architect
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and implement a scalable, modern data architecture that supports both analytical and operational needs across the organization. You will define high-quality data products, establish robust data models, and architect end-to-end data flows within a lakehouse environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data is accurate, secure, well-governed, and readily accessible for analytics and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Design and define data products, including dimensional models such as Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Architect scalable data acquisition patterns from databases, APIs, files, and messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Design and implement data validation, enrichment, and transformation processes using Python and pySpark.
- Establish frameworks for data quality, metadata management, data governance, and security.
- Define strategies for data distribution and consumption via files, APIs, messaging platforms, warehouses like Snowflake, and analytics tools.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable architectures.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure data architectures follow best practices for reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in data modeling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Experience designing modern lakehouse architectures (e.g., Apache Iceberg).
- Proficiency with analytics and query platforms such as Trino (Presto), StarRocks, and Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with Python and pySpark for data processing and transformation.
- Experience with streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, metadata management, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Certifications in data architecture, cloud platforms, or related technologies.
- Experience building scalable platforms supporting real-time and batch processing.
- Familiarity with metadata catalogs, lineage tools, and governance frameworks.
- Experience with major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
