Position: Junior Level Applications DBA

Experience: 3+ months or relevant training in Oracle EBS Apps DBA

Objective:

NaviSite seeks a Junior Applications DBA to join its Global EBS DBA Team, supporting over 200 customers worldwide. NaviSite offers Cloud services across public, private, and hybrid environments and is an Advanced AWS partner.

Responsibilities:

• Shift Work: Participate in 24x7 shift rotations, handling operational tasks, changes, and incident resolution.

• Incident Management: Follow guidelines to acknowledge, accept, and resolve incidents based on priority.

• Customer Maintenance: Ensure maintenance tasks are completed on time.

• Escalation and Handoffs: Adhere to escalation procedures and participate in shift handoff calls.

• Service Delivery: Follow global shift rota and manage PTO to ensure continuous service.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.

Requirements:

• Communication: Excellent communication skills.

• Organization: Ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively.

• Adherence to Standards: Competence in following documented processes and DBA standards.

 Experience Areas:

• Daily health checks and alert monitoring for EBS applications and databases.

• Incident management and stakeholder liaison.

• Knowledge of OS (OEL, AIX, Solaris, Windows), basic scripting, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Oracle DBMS (11g, 12c, RAC, Enterprise Edition, OEM) and Oracle EBS (10.x, 11.x, 12.x).

• Middleware technologies (SSO, Demantra, Vertex, SOA, APEX, VCP).

• Certification: Willingness to obtain professional certification.

• Work Environment: Willingness to work in 24x7 shifts, including weekends.
