Description of Duties:
- Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications.
- Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help plan, design, and install internal and external networks.
- Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
- Participates in departmental and operational improvements.
- Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
- Work closely with network management tools, writing network management scripts, creating procedures, analyzing network statistics, network design, vendor management, performance monitoring
- Is responsible for development and maintenance of network communications.
- Utilizes knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help plan and install internal and external networks
- WAN/LAN maintenance, security administration, policies creation
- Responsible for debugging interdependencies of applications and hardware systems
- Appropriately judges technology problems, and resolves network problems having varying degrees of complexity
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
- 4-year college degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Cisco Certification or Preferred Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, switching, routing, and security
EXPERIENCE
- 5-7 Years experience administering some or all of the following
- Cisco equipment.
- Outstanding organizational skills plus an ability to manage concurrent projects and activities
