Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated and driven network/UC engineer to support a schedule of global office builds. This person would serve as an onsite resource to a team of remote senior UC engineers. Role requires CCNA level of networking knowledge and 5 years of hands on implementation and troubleshooting experience. This role also requires CCNA Voice level of UC knowledge and configuration skills as this person would be acting as the local hands for the remote UC engineers should a problem arise while onsite and the voice gateways were not accessible over the network. This person should also expect to perform any layer 1 responsibilities while onsite. Candidates must have the ability to effectively communicate and document any issues encountered while onsite. Candidates must also be willing to travel extensively around the globe for short term projects with a valid passport.
DEVICE PLATFORMS: Cisco 3900 ISR routers, Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco 7945G IP phones and Cisco DX650 video phones.
SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
1. LAN, WAN and Voice configurations on a IOS gateway
2. Ability to configure new gateway from scratch if needed
3. Ability to recover passwords and recover IOS from common if needed
4. Experience with PRI circuits, dial-peers, SRST and other IOS voice gateways configurations
5. Ability to troubleshoot inline power and possibly DOA hardware or devices
6. Excellent communication skills
7. Experience working in a customer environment
8. CCNA/CCNA Voice or CCNP certification with voice experience
