Role Overview
We're looking for a Mobile Engineer (iOS/Flutter) to design, build, and ship high-quality mobile applications for Chiri and our clients.
We're looking for someone fluent in both native iOS development (Swift) and Flutter, ideally with personal apps published on both the Apple App Store and Google Play , or team experience shipping a large-scale consumer app (games, fitness, or similar) or a corporate app where design and UX detail mattered. You should be comfortable across the full app store lifecycle - from development through submission, review, and release.
Our engineers don't just build features - they help solve business problems. Strong candidates can clearly articulate the impact of their work, whether that's improving app performance and retention, streamlining the release process, or improving the end-user experience.
You'll start by learning the ours and our client's mobile engineering patterns, frameworks, and platform components, then progressively take ownership of larger features, releases, and technical initiatives as you grow within the team.
- Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift.
- Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter for iOS and Android.
- Own the end-to-end app store lifecycle, including submissions, releases, and updates on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Build features and solutions for both client platforms and Chiri's internal mobile products.
- Translate design specs and product requirements into polished, production-ready mobile experiences.
- Ensure app quality, performance, and consistency across iOS and Android devices.
- Integrate mobile apps with backend APIs and third-party services as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
- Optimize app performance, stability, and user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- 5 years of professional experience building and shipping mobile applications.
- Strong experience with Swift for native iOS development.
- Strong experience with Flutter for cross-platform (iOS and Android) development.
- Proven experience navigating both the Apple App Store and Google Play submission and review processes.
- Portfolio of personal apps published on both app stores, or professional experience on a team that shipped a large-scale consumer app or a corporate app requiring strong design/UX execution.
- 2 to 3 years of experience and strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and platform guidelines (Human Interface Guidelines),
- leveraging company and client provided brand books
- Expertly applying internal and client-specific design standards and brand guidelines).
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices (2 to 3 years of experience).
- 2 to 3 years experience owning features from design through deployment and ongoing support.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- Strong SwiftUI and modern iOS frameworks experience, particularly for polished, design-detailed interfaces.
- Background building both consumer-facing apps and enterprise/corporate apps.
- Comfortable working in startup or high-growth environments.
- Skilled at integrating mobile apps with backend APIs and third-party services.
- Familiar with push notifications, analytics SDKs, and mobile CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to AI-powered mobile features, LLM integrations, or on-device AI capabilities.
- Has taken part in customer meetings, requirements gathering, or solution design discussions.
- Demonstrated examples of delivering measurable business outcomes through technology.
- Has mentored engineers or contributed to technical decision-making.
