Job Description
In the position of Vice President, Lead Software Engineer , the beneficiary will develop secure high-quality production code, and produce end results with minimal assistance. He will work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals and build an innovative culture. .He will develop creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions.
He will also provide full stack development using Java/J2EE Enterprise Web Development; developing in all tiers (middleware, integration and database) of the application.
In addition, he will be working on developing application using Spring framework, Object Oriented methodology of design and development, and Spring Batch framework together with Web Services SOA experience (SOAP as well as Restful with JSON formats), with Messaging (Kafka). He will be working to migrate legacy application using technology like Kubernetes, AWS (EKS, EC2) .
He will be also writing Stored Procedures, functions, SQL queries and backend programming using NoSQL database such as Cassandra. He will also be working on test automation tools/frameworks like BDD, Cucumber, Junits.
The position of Vice President, Lead Software Engineer, requires the application of theoretical knowledge related to the above. Accordingly, the Petitioner requires at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, or equivalent, or a related field of study.
Job responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Demonstrated and strong hands on Java/J2EE Enterprise Web Development; developing in all tiers (middleware, integration and database) of the application and proven experience with design patterns
  • Experience in design and Architecture
  • Experience in Kubernetes, AWS (EKS, EC2) is must
  • Experience in AWS cloud monitoring tools like Datadog, Cloud watch, Lambda is needed
  • Deep hands-on experience with Spring framework, Object Oriented methodology of design and development, and Spring Batch framework
  • Experience with databases like Oracle, caching and performance tuning, Web Services SOA experience (SOAP as well as Restful with JSON formats), with Messaging (Kafka)
  • Hands on with development and test automation tools/frameworks (e.g. BDD and Cucumber)
  • Experience in writing Stored Procedures, functions, SQL queries and backend programming using NoSQL database such as Cassandra and with testing frameworks like JUnit and mocking techniques
  • Hands on with development and test automation tools/frameworks (e.g. BDD and Cucumber)
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and follow through on their work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while also clearly articulating both technical and non-technical issues with stake holders & partners like Dev Ops, Architects, QA testers & Product Owners


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Team management is plus
  • Hands-on experience in IAM (Identity and Access management) domain using Forgerock product suite - AM, IG, IDM & DS
  • Experience in Micro services, Spring boot is preferred
  • Experience in financial domain is preferred
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
