What You’ll Be Doing

• Own and drive the end-to-end architecture of complex, scalable web applications, with a strong emphasis on long-term maintainability, performance, and scalability.
• Remain hands-on technically, contributing to critical areas of the codebase and guiding the team through build decisions and technical trade-offs.
• Build, evolve, and govern Python-based microservices architectures, ensuring clean service boundaries and well-defined APIs.
• Lead frontend architecture using Angular, ensuring a clean, performant, and maintainable UI layer that integrates seamlessly with backend services.
• Set a high bar for engineering quality through thoughtful code reviews, build discussions, and continuous mentoring.
• Apply and enforce the right software composition patterns, helping teams build robust solutions rather than quick fixes.
• Manage and mentor engineering teams, encouraging their technical growth, ownership outlook, and delivery commitments.
• Drive Agile practices in a practical way, planning realistically, delivering incrementally, and continuously improving how the team works.
• Work closely with product managers and business collaborators, using strong communication skills to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Encourage adoption of modern engineering tools, including responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency and code quality.

Must-Have Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of hands‑on software development experience, with at least 4+ years in an engineering management role. They should have strong experience architecting complex web applications and remain technically hands‑on in their current or recent roles.

The role requires solid expertise in Angular for frontend development and Python‑based microservices architecture on the backend. Candidates should demonstrate a practical and applied understanding of software design patterns, and regularly use them to drive clean, scalable solutions.

Strong experience in conducting code reviews and technical mentoring is essential, along with a proven track record to guide teams on sound engineering standards and best practices. A solid understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies, with hands‑on involvement across planning, execution, and delivery.

Equally important are excellent communication and leadership skills — the ability to work closely with customers, understand requirements clearly, and lead teams through technical credibility and clarity.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience using AI‑assisted code generation tools such as Tabnine, Claude Code, or similar tools is a strong plus. A basic understanding of GenAI frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph is desirable, especially a curiosity about how they can be applied responsibly in real systems.

Additional exposure to DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, is beneficial. Familiarity with QA practices and test strategies, as well as experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, will further strengthen a candidate’s profile.
