Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Engineering Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers to design, develop, and implement data pipelines. The Data Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in understanding and translating business requirements into actionable insights, while leveraging their strong technical expertise in Hadoop, Python/Scala, Spark, SQL, DBT, Airflow and Big Data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quickly grasp and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct data analysis to derive meaningful insights and drive decision-making.
- Lead the design and development of robust data pipelines in on-premises and cloud.
- Demonstrate expertise in Spark and SQL for efficient data processing and analysis.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.
- Provide effective team and technical management to ensure project success.
- Implement Agile project management methodologies for efficient project delivery.
- Showcase excellent client-facing experience, delivering high-quality solutions that exceed expectations.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data solutions, handling large volumes of data with ease.
- Exhibit problem-solving skills by thinking of alternative solutions when faced with challenges.
- Offer valuable suggestions and guidance to team members to foster growth and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 6 years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on designing and implementing data pipelines.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, leading a team of data engineers.
- Strong proficiency in Spark, SQL, and other relevant Big Data technologies.
