Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web, desktop, API, and backend systems.
- Lead automation efforts across multiple tools and technologies including Selenium, WinAppDriver, UFT, and Appium.
- Develop automation solutions for RESTful services, GraphQL microservices, and Kafka message validation.
- Establish and manage CI/CD pipelines for test automation execution using GitHub Actions, GitLab, or equivalent.
- Collaborate with BAs, developers, and QA analysts to define BDD scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure automation best practices are followed across the team.
- Research and introduce new tools, frameworks, and approaches to improve test efficiency and coverage.
- Support agile delivery by participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Report test results, metrics, and coverage to stakeholders and leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Test Automation, with hands-on expertise in Selenium, UFT, WinAppDriver, Appium, Protractor, Cypress, or WebdriverIO.
- Strong experience with API automation using RestAssured, Postman, or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in Java, JUnit, Spring, and working knowledge of Python.
- Strong database skills – ability to write and execute SQL queries and perform backend data validation.
- Experience testing microservices, Kafka topics, and event-driven systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with global distributed teams.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or Behave.
- Exposure to cloud testing and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with test reporting and monitoring tools like Allure, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.
