About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in Java software development, with a focus on Java 11 or later versions
- Strong knowledge of Java fundamentals, data structures, and object-oriented programming
- Experience with Java frameworks, such as Spring, Spring Boot, and Java EE
- Proficiency in database management systems like Oracle, Mango DB or PostgreSQL
- Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or DevOps
- Experience with cloud-based platforms like PCF, GCP, AWS or Azure
- Experience with Realtime Messaging systems like MQ, Kafka or Flink
- Working knowledge on container applications like Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift
- Experience with Microservices architecture and design patterns like MVC, Structural etc.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions

- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide junior to senior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the team
- Capable of performing code reviews, and advising efficient development approaches to enhance the application performance
- Ability to anticipate risks and preparing the resilience approaches to mitigate the risks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality software applications
- Required to work in the office as per organization’s In Office Adherence / Return to Office (RTO)
