AbhiBus is a leading online bus-ticketing platform that aggregates ticket inventory from over 4,000 bus operators - including major State Road Transport Corporations (SRTCs), covering more than 3.5 lakh (350,000+) routes across India. The AbhiBus website and apps allow users to check amenities provided by bus operators, compare booking fares, check bus timings in the searched route, live tracking of the bus before arrival, cancellation protection options and other facilities. It is the official ticketing partner for several state road transport corporation bus tickets and IRCTC bus bookings. 

AbhiBus is owned and operated by ixigo (Le Travenues Technology Limited), India’s leading OTA for the Next Billion Users. With over 54 crore Annual Active Users in FY25, ixigo offers AI-powered train, flight, bus, and hotel bookings through its platforms - ixigo, ConfirmTkt, and AbhiBus.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Frontend Developer with a strong focus on React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks to lead the development of our cutting-edge application. You will be responsible for architecting, building, and scaling applications using React, TypeScript, Redux, Next.js, Vite, and other technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and guide the team in best practices for application architecture and development

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a frontend development team to deliver high-quality web applications.
• Architect and develop complex, responsive, and highly performant applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Redux, and RTK.
• Oversee the integration of Redux-Persist for efficient state management in Next.js and React apps.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and implementation of best practices.
• Manage the build process using Vite for optimized performance, code splitting, and faster development cycles.
• Maintain and expand our custom UI library, ensuring its flexibility, scalability, and reusability across various applications.
• Collaborate closely with backend teams working with Node.js, APIs, and third-party integrations.
• Own the end-to-end deployment process using Rollup for library packaging and distribution in both browser and Node.js environments.
• Drive continuous improvement in our development pipeline, including optimizing builds and CI/CD processes.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on technology choices, design patterns, and career development.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development, with at least 2+ years in a lead role.
• Expertise in React.js, TypeScript, Next.js, Redux, and Redux Toolkit (RTK).
• Deep understanding of state management solutions such as Redux and Redux-Persist.
• Experience with Vite and Rollup in building scalable, high-performance applications.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with SCSS, Sass, and other CSS preprocessors.
• Proficient in working with build tools like Webpack, Vite, and packaging tools like Rollup.
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines and best practices in software development.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with teams across different functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with backend technologies like Node.js, Express, or GraphQL.
• Experience with AWS services and server-side deployment.
• Knowledge of Vite library mode and familiarity with custom library builds.
• Experience in developing and deploying applications on both client and server sides.

It is a 5 days from office from Hyderabad.
