The Lead Data Architect will design enterprise data architecture, translate business needs into data structures, ensure data quality, and guide teams on best practices with a focus on data modeling.
We are looking for a Lead Data Architect who can drive data design and architecture with a strong focus on data modeling and product-oriented thinking. This role emphasizes understanding data, discovering relationships, and translating business needs into scalable data designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and define enterprise data architecture and data models
- Translate business/product requirements into logical data structures
- Perform requirements discovery with limited documentation
- Identify data relationships, dependencies, and structures
- Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams
- Ensure data quality, governance, and optimization
- Guide engineering teams on data design best practices
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture / Data Modeling
- Strong expertise in data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake, normalization)
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Ability to understand data deeply and derive insights from incomplete information
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and ETL/data integration concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
Key Expectation:
We are specifically looking for someone who can independently discover data relationships, translate product strategy into data design, and bring strong expertise in data modeling best practices.
