The ideal candidate possesses in-depth Salesforce technical knowledge and should drive remediation of technical debt and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions as an individual contributor. Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability through hands-on development and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Salesforce Platform Ownership & Administration:
Own and support the organization’s Salesforce environment, including configuration of custom objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, approval processes, sharing rules, and permission sets to ensure a scalable and reliable platform. - Data, Security & Analytics Governance:
Architect robust data models, governance frameworks, and access controls, including user roles, profiles, and permission strategies. Ensure data integrity, compliance, and auditability while enabling scalable reporting and analytics capabilities across the organization. - Platform Optimization & Automation Strategy:
Define automation strategy leveraging Salesforce Flows and other platform capabilities. Drive standardization and optimization of business processes, minimizing redundancy and ensuring maintainable, future-proof solutions. - Integration Architecture & API Strategy:
Design and oversee integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures. Ensure reliability, scalability, and data consistency across platforms. - System Maintenance:
Perform routine system maintenance, monitor platform performance, and manage Salesforce seasonal releases. - Technical Debt Management & Architecture Modernization:
- Define a strategic roadmap to identify, track, and reduce technical debt across the Salesforce landscape.
- Lead refactoring initiatives to modernize legacy implementations (e.g., Workflow Rules, Process Builder, redundant customizations) into scalable, Flow-first and modular architectures.
- Establish governance frameworks, coding standards, and design patterns to prevent future debt accumulation.
- Conduct periodic architecture and org health reviews, including performance optimization, dependency analysis, and cleanup of obsolete assets.
- Drive simplification and rationalization of the platform to improve maintainability, scalability, and system performance.
- Balance delivery velocity with architectural integrity by influencing stakeholders and enforcing best practices.
- Risk Management & Issue Resolution:
Investigate and resolve system issues, production incidents, performance bottlenecks and integration failures using a structured, root-cause-driven approach, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. - Cross-Functional Architecture Alignment:
Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements, including scalability, security, and performance. - Mentorship & Technical Enablement:
Mentor developers, admins, and junior team members by promoting architectural thinking, best practices, and continuous learning across the team.

Qualifications:
- B.E. or equivalent
- Salesforce PD1 is required; additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect; System Architect) are preferred.
- 9-14 years of experience working in Salesforce CRM
- Experience with Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience, and/or CPQ.
- Familiarity with Salesforce best practices, governance standards, and release management.
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with Salesforce platform updates and innovations.
- Active involvement in the Salesforce community is a plus.

- Position is based in Pune, with in-office presence as per company policy.
