Lead AI Scientist - India (Remote)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AI Scientist to lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions across XO Health. You'll be responsible for building scalable data architectures, mentoring a team, and driving innovation in our approach to AI/ML. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our data lake is clean and optimized, supporting the delivery of impactful AI models that directly benefit our users.
What You’ll Do:
- Data Lake Management: Lead the cleaning, filtering, and optimization of XO Health's data lake to ensure high-quality data for AI initiatives.
- Business Analytics: Support business operation by doing data analysis, uncovering trends and insights that inform decision-making. Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to help internal teams.
- AI Model Development & Deployment: Lead the development and deployment of AI/ML models within the organization, focusing on delivering impactful solutions.
- Data Architecture & Pipelines: Participate in design and implement robust data architecture, including database schemas (Graph DB, SQL, NoSQL), and efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to support scalable algorithm deployments aligned with business priorities.
- Cloud Infrastructure & Scalability: Participate in architectural discussions and ensure solutions are designed for successful scale, security, and high availability within the cloud or on-prem environments.
- Technical Debt: Take ownership of technical debt and follow best practices
- Performance Management: Define frameworks, metrics and measures to measure the statistical significance of AI solutions in dev, test and production environments.
- Proof of Concept Development: Lead the definition and execution of technology proof-of-concepts to validate new data and cloud solutions.
- Production Deployment: Lead the experimentation with AI/ML algorithms and their deployment into production environments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal XO Health teams to ensure alignment on AI initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, software engineering, or ML Ops specializing in AI and Machine Learning deployment.
- 3+ years of experience in complete AI Solution lifecycle starting from designing to developing, deploying and support in production.
- Strong hands-on experience in building large scale ML based solutions
- Strong proficiency in:
- Python (required)
- SQL
- Linux CLI
- 1+ years of team management experience delivering complex projects.
- 2+ years of experience with database development and ETL/ELT pipelines (relational, NoSQL).
- Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) data findings and help turn insights into practical next steps for stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a STEM field (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Cloud certifications (AWS preferred)
- Experience with GPU computing (CUDA, OpenCL)
- Expertise in Nodejs, Angular, React
- 1+ years of experience in ML Ops
