Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated ACCOUNTANT who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Riyadh- Saudi Arabia.

Job Description summary:

Accounting includes work across multiple areas of Accounting including: Ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.). Control/reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.). Accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, budget reporting, etc.) In some organizations, Accounting work may also include: Cost accounting/budgeting (allocation of direct/indirect costs, variance analysis, budget preparation, etc.). Accounts Payable/Receivable and/or Credit & Collections An Entry Professional (P1) applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.

Accountabilities

  • Follow the company policies and procedures to maintain the internal controls
  • Ensure vendor invoices are issued as per VAT local law
  • Ensure booking entries of General Ledger or AP or AR or Branch figures are posted on the right WBS
  • Maintain proper filling system
  • Audit Employees Expense claims, petty cash & Credit cards and ensure that its following the policy
  • Assist in Fixed asset management and physical counting
  • Engaging with other departments when its related to admin inquiry or assistant
  • Monthly supplier Reconciliations
  • Any other tasks required

Required Skills/ Knowledge

  • SAP Experience
  • 1-3 Years of experience
  • Bachelor degree in Accounting
  • Fluent English
  • Microsoft Office Professional specially Excel
  • Knowledge of Local VAT

Education / Qualifications
 

Technical Degree or Equivalent Technical Background

Languages
Good English proficiency
