The USI Industry Ops Data Analyst Senior position is responsible for enabling reporting, data analysis, and coordination for firm Industry Operations. This position works closely with Industry Operations and Data Stakeholders across the enterprise. The role is critically important as it provides essential and timely insights to support RSM’s National Industry Operations with targeted data to enable and support enterprise growth.
Essential Duties
- Schedule and prioritize data projects requested by Industry Operations team
- Ensure data projects meet requirements and are completed on schedule.
- Data projects will primarily consist of:
Reporting:
The data analyst will be responsible for providing regular reporting (weekly / monthly) via PowerBI, Workday, and Smartsheet providing analysis related to opportunities and revenue for the strategic and priority accounts and aggregate industry information. This will include:
- Reviewing, reporting, and leveraging PowerBI views to inform the needs of the business
- Creating and running pipeline reports in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
- Gathering revenue information on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis from PowerBI and create reports to demonstrate growth, accountability, and opportunity
Data Management:
The data analyst will be responsible for identifying potential gaps in existing data, recommend adjustments, and confirm corrections as needed. This will include:
- Ensuring data is correct through routine audits, confirming stakeholders are leveraging accurate and most recent industry information
- Responsible for data analysis as requested by industry operations designed to inform strategy by leveraging net revenue, charge hours, and opportunities as appropriate
- Understanding role of industry within each line of business and confirming data reflects integration appropriately through review of charge hours, opportunities, growth priorities, and net services
Stakeholder Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain a network of relationships with key stakeholders in IT, Finance, the Data Team, Talent Analytics, and others to ensure effective collaboration and communication in maintaining reporting
- Responsible for collaborating across the matrix with relevant counterparts throughout the enterprise to support existing collaboration and identify new areas of opportunity Ensure data is correct through routine audits, recommending adjustments, and confirming corrections as needed
Other Data Analytic Tasks (On Request)
- Participate in special projects, ad-hoc requests and other initiatives relating to internal account operations, process improvement, relationship management, data analysis, risk management and more.
- Share and document knowledge, lessons-learned, and leading practices for collaboration purposes and to achieve efficient support across the team.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in an analytical field (e.g., Math, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) and 2+ years of experience working in a data related capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using PowerBI to create and or update reporting.
- Experience creating and running reports in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
- Experience using PowerBI to create and or update reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to research, analyze, and interpret information required.
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-motivated.
- Good client service attitude and responsiveness.
- Strong understanding of client service, account/project management in a professional services firm.
EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of experience working in a data related capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Required)
- Experience using PowerBI to reporting and data analysis (Preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM (Preferred)
- Experience creating and running reports in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM (Preferred)
