The Head of FP&A role is a highly strategic and commercial position, responsible for providing comprehensive financial insights and strategic support to the Vice President of MWI Animal Health International and to the wider executive team. You will partner with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights, forecasting, and financial modeling that align with our business goal.
This role reports into the Vice President of Finance for MWI Animal Health, which encompasses the US and International businesses.
Taking overall responsibility for the FP&A team, this team supports various departments and leads the development of annual and long-term financial plans. This role is pivotal to ensuring the financial health and growth of the company through strategic analysis and a proactive approach to financial planning to respond to the competitive landscape.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, overseeing the month end reporting process including managing the businesses KPIs and providing insights into performance for the UK and Nordics.
- Lead the Annual Budgeting, and long-range planning processes, collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver a robust Plan.
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership team, providing recommendations based on financial analysis to support key business decisions and long-term growth.
- Provide reporting and insights to the parent company as part of the standard reporting process, and on an ad-hoc process.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making, provide insight into business performance, trends, market opportunities, risks and opportunities, and present findings in a clear and actionable manner to senior stakeholders.
- Drive the development and execution of the annual operating budget and financial forecasting processes.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and ad hoc analysis for the executive team.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments, including Accounting, Sales, Operations, and Product, to provide financial guidance, support, and recommendations.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance in financial reporting and analysis by implementing and optimizing financial tools and processes.
- Manage and mentor a team of FP&A professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and development
- Understand and comply with job relevant Companies Practice Standards at all times.
- Understand the Companies standard operating procedures and attend training sessions as appropriate.

Experience, skills and knowledge requirements:
- Experience at this level in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance, with a strong background in financial modeling and analysis.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively with executives and cross-functional teams.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis; experience with ERP and financial planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Adaptive Insights) is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident and able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation
- Proactive with a can-do attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record of leading, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams.
