The Finance team plays a crucial role in creating that future. It is our role to serve as a liaison between H1’s Commercial & Technical teams to oversee issues related to financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and planning, as well as resource prioritization and business management. With a deep understanding of the business levers underlying the operations of our Infrastructure team, this team is responsible for helping the business to drive toward clear and effective decisions which are critical to the success of the Company

As a Finance Manager, you’ll be part of a highly visible team that partners with all leaders and departments across the company. You’ll support the finance team by overseeing the accounting and financial operations for our India-based accounts and expenses, managing a small team of two accountants. WHAT YOU'LL DO AT H1

- Responsible for all aspects of accounting (accounts payable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit cards, expense report reconciliation, cash application, intercompany transactions, and payroll).

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting team in India, including the month-end and year-end close processes.

- Supervise and mentor a Senior Accountant, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.

- Prepare and present timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for India-based operations.

- Monitor and analyze accounting data, ensuring accuracy, integrity and consistency with US GAAP and India accounting standards.

- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory and tax filings and ensure compliance with local financial regulations and company policies.

- Collaborate with the global finance team to align local financial practices with global standards and to support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.

- Monitor and manage cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

- Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting team

ABOUT YOU

You are a seasoned finance professional with a strong background in managing accounting operations within the tech or SaaS industry. You excel in leading teams and have a deep understanding of Indian accounting standards and regulations and US GAAP. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail

enable you to deliver accurate financial reports, and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment. Your communication skills allow you to effectively collaborate with colleagues across different time zones

REQUIREMENTS

- At least 5 years of relevant experience in finance management, preferably within the SaaS or tech industry.

- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, preferably in a SaaS start-up environment.

- CA/CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of Indian & US GAAP accounting standards and regulations.

- Experience managing and developing a small team.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams.

- Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
