RSM has an opportunity for a highly motivated DevOps Infrastructure Lead who has a passion for orchestrating site resiliency and DevOps standards/technologies. You will work alongside our top-notch IT professionals supporting RSM’s modern information technology infrastructure. You’ll be a member of a team who is responsible for the delivery and management of consumable technologies, processes, and integrations to bolster RSM lines of business and their respective portfolios. Outside of your team, you’ll collaborate with Enterprise Solutions Developers, IT Architecture Engineers, line-of-business (LOB) professionals as well as other IT professionals to automate and streamline IT business operations and processes. You’ll be challenged to create innovative solutions to legacy and cloud compute as well as new concepts, ideas, and continuous process improvement. You will demonstrate and maintain high standards while fostering a proactive, efficient, and service-oriented work environment. Communication and professionalism are paramount as you will be representing RSM Technical Services to effectively engage with technical and business leadership as well as external providers of IT services. You will also use all your abilities to explain solutions and complex issues while demonstrating the ability to lead and impart knowledge effectively to other team members. You will be expected to provide technical guidance and act as a mentor to junior staff within the team.
Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for the design, configuration, support, and maintenance of data platforms. Identifies changes to product architecture from the reliability, performance and availability perspective with a data driven approach focused on relational databases. Implements SRE/DevOps standards for data technologies and continually improves upon these processes and technologies. Design, implement and automate continuous integrations pipelines for major data technologies in a templatized IaC format for reusability across the Enterprise, utilizing market leading IaC tools, services, and technologies. Monitors and manages system health, functionality and availability related to database and other related data services. Install, configure, secure, and maintain multi-tiered environments across multiple regions. Develop and implement technical standards, procedures, and techniques for the resolution of Enterprise IT system problems to ensure maximum application availability and performance. Provides technical guidance and acts as a mentor to junior staff within the team.

Develop proof of concepts architecture for application and automation initiatives. Drives new ideas and innovative solutions to resolve problems. Engages with other engineering teams to improve the lifecycle of services on our platforms. Collaborates with other IT and non-IT related professionals such as Developers, Architects, Project Managers, Business Analysts, and business leaders.
Propose and drive architectural changes to solve scaling and performance problems. Collaborates with internal development, functional technology, and program management teams on a frequent basis. Provides recommendations in product evaluations, testing, certification training and product lifecycle management. Implements upgrades, enhancements and fixes following established change management procedures
Participates in scheduled and unscheduled weekend/after-hours system maintenance and support using established change management procedures. Performs rotational on-call duty
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, equivalent work history/experience or working towards achieving a degree
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Advanced Scripting Skills (PowerShell, Python, Terraform and other IaC languages)
- Management of Public Cloud Offerings (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, O365, ADO)
- Microsoft Windows and Non-WinOS such as Linux Server administration
- Troubleshooting of complex distributed environments
- Ability to use and implement automation tools, processes and IaC
- Strong performance tuning expertise
- Azure Data Integration Technology
- Azure Service Bus and Azure Data Factory
- Public Cloud Data Technology
EXPERIENCE
- 11+ Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network and directory services required
- 5+ years - IaC Technologies leveraging Terraform (eg. ADO, Pipelines, Git, YAML)
- 5+ years - Orchestration and containerization using Kubernetes
- 5+ years - API Integration of infrastructure systems such as Azure, ServiceNow, Active Directory, Thycotic Secret Server.
- 3+ years - Azure Public Cloud Solutions
- Azure Data Integration Technologies (Azure Service Bus/Azure Data Factory)
- Agile Methodology, Site Reliability Engineering and ITIL framework
- Identity Management SSO/MFA is a plus
- SQL and structure Data Platform Experience is a plus
