Role Overview

Nasuni is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure team supporting the build and test systems that power our distributed enterprise storage platform.

This role focuses on automating engineering workflows, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and improving reliability across build infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and platform teams to ensure efficient software delivery and scalable development environments.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on infrastructure work, scripting automation, and improving developer productivity through modern DevOps practices.

Level & Scope Definition

In this role you will:

• Own and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting engineering builds and tests
• Contribute to automation and reliability improvements across development infrastructure
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to integrate testing and validation into automated pipelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve build failures, infrastructure issues, and pipeline inefficiencies
• Contribute to continuous improvements in observability, automation, and developer productivity tools

This role operates with moderate autonomy, executing DevOps initiatives while partnering with senior infrastructure engineers to evolve the platform.

Responsibilities

CI/CD Infrastructure

• Manage and maintain Jenkins pipelines for build, test, and release workflows
• Support CI/CD automation across distributed engineering teams
• Assist with GitHub Actions and modern CI pipeline tooling

Automation & Workflow Efficiency

• Develop automation scripts in Python and Groovy
• Improve build reliability and reduce pipeline execution time
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling or automation platforms to enhance workflow efficiency

Infrastructure & Environment Management

• Manage and optimize VMware vCenter resources used for engineering builds
• Support infrastructure provisioning and environment consistency
• Assist with artifact storage, monitoring, and logging systems

Collaboration

• Work closely with software engineering and QA teams to integrate automated testing into CI pipelines
• Support Git workflows including branching strategies, tagging, and versioning

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, scalability, and developer productivity
• Contribute to modernization of DevOps tooling and infrastructure automation

Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Build Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar platforms
• Proficiency in Python scripting and basic Groovy
• Strong understanding of Git workflows and version control
• Experience working in Linux-based environments
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Ability to troubleshoot build failures and pipeline performance issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GitHub Actions or modern CI/CD platforms
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience using Docker or Kubernetes
• Exposure to Packer for machine image creation
• Experience integrating AI-assisted developer productivity tools or automation workflows

Ideal Qualifications

• Experience supporting CI/CD infrastructure for large distributed engineering teams
• Experience improving build system performance and scalability
• Exposure to observability tools, monitoring, and build analytics
• Demonstrated ability to automate repetitive infrastructure workflows

Experience Guidelines

• 3–5 years total experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or build engineering roles
• 2+ years working with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Experience supporting engineering teams in agile software development environments
