Job Summary

We are seeking a Platform Architect to join our Cloud Engineering team. This role is integral to the design and architecture of our SaaS Fintech Platform across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The successful candidate will be responsible for the CI/CD, IAC Automation, Configuration, Observability, Performance, Availability, Scalability, and Security of our platform.
Key responsibilities include driving standardization and best practices for configuration management, Kuberneties, optimizing Cloud Infrastructure workloads, and enabling rapid upgrades to new features, tools, technologies, and innovations. The role also involves instituting technical governance to minimize long-term technical risk.
The Platform Architect will play a critical role in building an architecture group focused on delivering value and innovation for the organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, Database , Application, BCP/DR, Networking, and run book automation. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving the success of our platform, and we look forward to your innovative solutions in shaping the future of our cloud infrastructure.
This role requires demonstrated excellence in designing and implementing innovative automation solutions and tools for multi-cloud and private cloud infrastructure. We invite applications from individuals who are ready to contribute to our platform’s success.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor team members in technology, architecture and delivery of new solutions
• Serve as primary technical lead for designing and implementing Large scale infrastructure, CICD & Automation for Cloud services. Building strong cross-functional leadership skills and working together with the operations and engineering teams to make sure that systems are scalable and secure.
• Design and Architecture of Cloud Native strategies, App Modernization and transformation Interprets and translates product requirements into a technology solution with Cloud stack and offerings
• Articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies with key stakeholders of infrastructure programs via workshop, web conference and PowerPoint presentation
• Responsible for designing and architectures of scalable platforms by creating re-usable codes and frameworks. Work with enterprise architect teams to make architectural decisions and document them for transparency and visiblity
• Analyse the latest tools and platform developments and their potential benefits for cloud engineering teams
• Actively involve in discussions with Product Enginering , Database Enginnering , Cloud Security , Infosec and Compliance teams.

Skill & Experience Needed

• Cloud architects usually work with a team of IT professionals such as Service Realiabaility, DevOps engineers and software developers. Therefore, strong communication, management, and presentation skills are essential. A positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work are also important
• Automation-first mindset and hands-on in primary knowledge domain. Prior experience of developing large scale automations is a must for this role.
• Experience with architecting and delivering reliable, secure, cost-optimized, performance-efficient, and operationally excellent solutions on-the cloud.
• Solid understanding of Infra Automation, Infra As a Code, Configuration Management, Modern Deployment methods. Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Inspec , RunDeck, Argo CD in Cloud Production and Engineering Environments.
• Must have strong expertise in operating Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages like Python, Ansible, and Shell.
• Ability to review deployment and delivery pipelines i.e., implement initiatives to minimize chances of failure, identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues.
• Deep Understanding of Cloud native technologies - Kubernetes, Docker, serverless functions, APIs, and other Micro services.
• Experience with Cloud Security and Compliance is an added advantage
• A strong team player. Ability to collaborate within team, other colleagues, 3rd party vendors and customers
• Adaptable to new technologies, eager to learn new tools and ways of solving problems
• Experience: 8+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions. Experience in designing, developing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications is also important
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python, Java, is also beneficial.
