The team:
Pentaho is looking for a Biz Ops data and reporting analyst to join its Analytics team. You will deliver key foundational data elements for customer, product, and key business insights, and analytical dashboards to enhance organizational understanding of key performance indicators.
The role:
- Organize and analyze customer, product, channel, region-level data
- Gather, extract, and verify bookings, volume data; apply data governance principles to ensure data cleanliness and integrity
- Play the role of a data steward to manage and govern data definitions, data flows across systems, and drive resolution of data related issues
- Connect and combine different data sources and tacit knowledge to uncover key business insights
- Deliver business analysis and reporting, and sharp insights that enable functional leaders to quickly understand and effectively make decisions to manage continuous price and margin improvement and execution across the enterprise
- Develop reports and visualizations to understand business performance and key trends and deliver executive-ready insights at scale
- Manage, enhance and maintain reports and visualizations on key performance indicators to create ongoing relevant and strategic insights
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Quantitative Economics, preferred or equivalent professional experience in a quantitative discipline performing data mining, engineering, analysis and analytics delivery
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of proven analytical abilities, previous experience in data extraction, transformation, load, analysis and visualization tools skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate with individuals from varying backgrounds and diverse skill sets
- High energy, creative, and self-starting; comfortable with ambiguity and possessing the ability to complete multiple projects on time
- Expert knowledge of data modeling, data visualizations tools (Power BI, DAX), SQL, and Excel
- Working knowledge of ERP, CRM and CPQ systems, and PowerBI
