Lytx is seeking a detail oriented, self-starter to support the accounting team by ensuring customer payments are applied and deposited appropriately.Position Summary:
The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for applying all customer and non-A/R payments, as well as for performing other cash processing activities. Their duties will include manually processing payments, recording and applying payments in our ERPs, reconciling bank and general ledger data, and partnering with Lytx’ general ledger accounting team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily accurate balancing of deposits received and accounts receivable in Netsuite.
- Responsible for all daily posting of ACH, Wires, lockbox, desktop deposit and credit card payments accurately.
- Ensure timely resolution of any unidentified receipts
- Serve as a liaison to our bank, credit card processor and internal systems administrators to ensure timely daily cash application for Lytx.
- Communicate and work with customers, billing, and collections teams as necessary to ensure cash is appropriately applied to open invoices and customer accounts.
- Adhere to month end closing as well as daily and weekly reporting processes.
- Facilitate processing of refunds due to clients through ERP via check, credit card or wire.
- Strive to help the AR team maintain acceptable Company Days Sales Outstanding and Account Receivable Aging standards.
- Demonstrate ability to work well with peers while ensuring a strong cohesive team.
- Work overlapping hours with the US-based team, including a portion of the workday during US operating hours (typically 9AM to 5PM EST), to ensure effective communication with US collections and general ledger accounting teams
- Additional duties such as supporting quarterly and annual external audits
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- 4-6 years of progressive cash application experience in a fast-paced environment, including interaction with large customer base.
- Strong communication & problem solving skills required.
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce.com is a plus.
