Business Operations Support Manager-India

Job Profile Summary

The Business Operations Support Manager provides high-level operational, administrative, billing, contract, and client intake support for Crowe’s business units. The Manager will be aligned to a specific organization and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a designated operational area/system such as D365 CRM, billing, iCertis (contract management system), administrative support, or Compass (independence checks). In addition to overseeing key support functions, the Business Operations Support Manager is responsible for managing a pool of Business Operations Support professionals who support their assigned organization. This role is critical to driving operational excellence, ensuring service consistency, and fostering continuous improvement across the business unit.

This role is responsible for building, leading, and scaling the Business Operations Support function within Crowe Capability Center – India. The Manager provides operational leadership while partnering with US and global stakeholders to deliver high‑quality shared services support across regions.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the India‑based Business Operations Support team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and capability development.
  • Own delivery of end‑to‑end operational support (client intake, contracts, billing, systems hygiene) for global business units.
  • Establish and manage operational metrics, SLAs, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives for the India shared services function.
  • Drive process standardization, documentation, and scalability from the India hub.
  • Partner closely with U.S. and other regional stakeholders to ensure effective offshore/onshore collaboration and alignment.
  • Oversee data integrity and reporting across enterprise platforms such as D365 CRM, Workday, Icertis, SharePoint, and related systems.
  • Review and analyze Excel‑based operational reports, reconciliations, and performance dashboards to support leadership decision‑making.
  • Build a strong understanding of few basic procedures in different BU’s “such as confirmations.com; CaseWare; EDGAR filings; etc.” and help in delivering as support function with ability to review junior team members work.  
  • Prepare and present PowerPoint materials for leadership reviews, operational governance forums, and business updates.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert for business operations processes and ensure compliance with firm policies, risk, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support long‑term workforce planning, succession planning, and team scalability within the Crowe Capability Center – India
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all communications and deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required – BBA, B.Com, BA, or equivalent Indian or international degree. MBA or M.Com preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in financial business operations, Payables, Invoicing / Billing shared services, or professional‑services environments, with demonstrated people‑management experience in India or GCC settings.
  • Technical skills:
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (complex reporting, data analysis, reconciliations, dashboards).
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with experience creating executive‑level and client‑facing presentations.
  • Deep familiarity with enterprise platforms and operational systems.
  • Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and driving cross-functional support initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of client lifecycle processes, including proposals, billing, contract workflows, and quality/risk management protocols.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experienced with enterprise tools such as SharePoint, D365 CRM, Workday, iCertis, or similar platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, Leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
Proficiency with Artificial Intelligence tools such as Chat GPT available within firm and enhance efficiency in the business processes.
