Overview of the role:
We are on the lookout for a Business Analyst with a specialism in data. We leverage data in many ways at PokerStars e.g. to grow revenues, excite players or remain compliant. Thus, there are lots of opportunities to make a positive impact in our Data & Analytics (D&A) tribe.
This role sits within our Customer Experience workstream and will have an initial focus on marketing and gaming data products. This is crucially important to excite players and increase PokerStars global market share & revenues by offering our products to players who love our brand.
As a key team member, you will act as a subject matter expert (SME) and conduit for the wider business’ data needs. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to identify, triage, analyse, design, and plan opportunities to use data for business benefit.
What you’ll do:

Be a SME on our Customer Experience data products and services

Build strong relations with colleagues across the org, working collaboratively to solve complex data problems and urge continuous improvement

Help review and triage incoming requests or opportunities, ensuring all colleagues are kept informed of priority and progress

Clearly articulate and document systems, data and processes required to resolve incoming requests or opportunities

Create product requirement documents, which provide a common understanding of business needs, and establish a clear outline of data assets and solutions required

Identify and manage cross-team dependencies through to resolution

Monitor the quality of deliverables, and be confident to challenge the team’s output where required
-
Maintain product and service documentation, ensuring assets are understood and used purposefully

Confidently query data assets to assess feasibility of requests

Contribute to improving the Customer Experience team’s ways of working

Help define data schemas & SLAs by working closely with data engineers and data consumers
What you’ll bring:

You have worked for several years as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst
-
You are a natural problem solver, and can utilise a variety of business analysis techniques
-
You have experience working in a highly regulated industry
-
You have experience working with data, relational databases, and streaming platforms
-
You can query data assets using SQL, Python, Postman or similar
-
You find it easy to assimilate knowledge, and share this with others in a variety of verbal and non-verbal methods
-
You are an effective communicator and can adapt your message to meet audience needs
-
You are a self-starter. You are proactive, energetic, and motivated to add value
-
You have experience working in an agile organisation, and championing agile practices
