What is the BSP Tax Specialist in BSP Finance group responsible for?

  • BSP is seeking to recruit an Associate to join the Firm’s in-house Tax team of professionals. The Tax team act as advisors and are knowledgeable and experienced in varied and specialized facets of cross border tax planning, tax structuring and tax compliance

What are the ongoing responsibilities of BSP Tax Specialist?

  • Assist with managing and coordinating tax compliance for our various investment platforms

  • Assist with GP quarterly estimates

  • Monitor and respond to various US federal and State tax notices

  • Assist with the quarterly RIC and REIT compliance tests

  • Assist with various tax structuring exercises and other ad hoc process improvement/automation projects

What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?

  • 3+ years

  • Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent experience is a plus

  • Prior experience analyzing large data sets

  • Ability to efficiently create and implement new workflows

  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to work independently and manage own tasks with limited supervision

  • Experience working in a hedge fund or private equity environment a plus

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly motivated self-starter; ability to multi-task

  • Aptitude to learn and explore the different aspects of US and international Tax

Job Level - Individual Contributor
Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST
