We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer having a background in Microsoft Fabric will be plus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and data models using Azure Data Platform and Microsoft Fabric.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Integrate data from diverse sources such as Azure SQL Database, Data Lake, Blob Storage, and REST APIs.
- Design and implement scalable data models, data marts, and Fabric datasets.
- Build, deploy, and manage dataflows and notebooks in Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop robust ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data.
- Ensure data governance, security, monitoring, and compliance within the Azure ecosystem.
- Utilize GitHub or Azure DevOps for version control and CI/CD automation of Fabric assets.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements.
- Optimize query performance, storage, and cost efficiency in Fabric workloads.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning for large-scale datasets.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and star/snowflake schemas.
- Expertise in ETL/ELT development for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Blob Storage, and REST API integrations.
- Knowledge of data governance, security (RBAC, encryption), and monitoring practices in Azure.
- Familiarity with GitHub/Azure DevOps for source control and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a cloud data environment.
- Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
