A Software Development Engineer may assist their colleagues and more junior Software Development Engineer team members by solving problems, providing technical guidance, training and mentoring others. Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, an innovative mindset, the ability to solve complex problems and deep technical ability in software development programming within an agile environment will be key for success.

About the Role :

  • Instrumental in building world-class RPA solutions within Thomson Reuters’ automation ecosystem.
  • Research, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain automated processes; ensure optimization of BOTs and timely, accurate process output.
  • Automation solutions that span across multiple automation constructs like OCR, AI etc. would make a strong case.
  • Basic knowledge of ML/NLP, Python, and Gen AI Concepts. Can work on well-defined work packages, e.g., data preprocessing, pipelines, model training, and model evaluation under the supervision of a more senior scientist. Needs to learn more ML/NLP knowledge and ways of working/best practices.
  • Experience in various types of testing: systems, functional, acceptance, validation, etc., and apply the needs of the user to the design and development of the solution.
  • Partner with Business Process Analysts and Architects on requirements, troubleshooting and managing the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) portfolio of BOTs and processes.
  • Design, develop and implement RPA solutions which adhere to coding best practices and are re-usable. Engage with Technology community on Automation knowledge sharing, best practices, governance.
  • Technical understanding of the Power Platform including Power App, Power Virtual Agents, Power Automate and its implementation/support.
  • Stay abreast of vendor specific best practices and share with automation partners.
  • Design, develop and implement R&D and pre-product prototype solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and create new automation processes.
  • Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.

About you:

  • UiPath is the product of choice, and the candidate should have a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience with UiPath implementation.
  • Extensive experience in the Microsoft Power Platform – MS PowerApps, MS Flows.
  • Experience developing new PowerApps model apps as well as enhancing existing apps.
  • Understanding PowerApps formulas and development methods.
  • Can work independently on a well-defined problem.
  • Can own small, well-defined projects and interact with stakeholders.
  • Understands and applies best practices/ways of working.
  • Needs to learn deeper ML/NLP knowledge and needs to learn about the engineering/deployment aspects of ML.
  • Experience interfacing with Business stakeholders or other development teams
  • Owned review of production-ready deliverables.
  • Relevant experience/awareness in Gen AI, Python, OCR, ML and AI techniques
  • Experience in creating workflows, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps.
  • The candidate should be graduate /post-graduate with strong academic record.
  • Engineering from a Tier-1/Tier-2 institute will be preferred.
