Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Technical Skills 1. Hardware Knowledge: o Understanding of servers, networking equipment, and storage devices. 2. Networking: o Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). o Basic understanding of firewalls, routers, and switches. 3. Operating Systems: o Proficiency with various operating systems, particularly Linux and Windows Server. o Basic scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell). 4. Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM): o Knowledge of DCIM tools for monitoring and managing data center resources. o L1 infrastructure Monitoring through OpenText OBM, Sitescope, Orion SolarWinds etc. 5. Cloud Infrastructure Support: o Providing Level 1 support, handling the initial point of contact for end-users seeking technical assistance. o Escalate complex issues to higher level support or specialized teams as necessary. o Monitor cloud environments and services for availability, performance, and security. o Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence. o Basic knowledge on GitHub 6. Security: o Awareness of physical and network security practices. o Understanding of access control systems and security protocols. 7. Batch Monitoring and Reporting: o Knowledge on TWS/DWC Batch Monitoring. o Basic Knowledge on MFT Operations and scheduled reporting. Operational Skills 1. Monitoring and Maintenance: o Experience with ITOM monitoring tools. o Ability to perform routine maintenance and respond to alerts and issues promptly. o Experience in critical situation handling and collaboration. 2. Disaster Recovery: o Basic Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures. o Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution. 3. ITIL Fundamentals: o Incident, Change, Problem, CMDB & Request tickets etc. o Working knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM Tool 4. Documentation: o Strong skills in creating and maintaining technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Soft Skills 1. Problem-Solving: o Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. o Analytical thinking to identify and address potential problems. 2. Attention to Detail: o Meticulous in following procedures and ensuring accuracy in tasks. 3. Communication: o Effective verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments. 4. Teamwork: o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. o Flexibility to assist with various tasks and projects as needed. 5. Time Management: o Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under pressure. o Comfortable in shift duties (24x7 coverage, 4 shift/ day) Certifications (Optional but Beneficial) 1.
