The Role: Associate Director, Software Development

The Team: The Market Intelligence, Content Tools & Platforms group is focused on transforming the myriad of technologies and platforms that exist today into a standard platform built using the latest tech stack. Our Associate Director are key to realizing our vision of a set of cohesive capabilities that enable the business to rapidly develop and evolve data assets and insights through amazing stakeholder experiences. As a group, we want to modernize our entire business with strategic deployments of open source, cross-cloud, and emerging technologies and solutions. As cultural leaders, we expect our architects to help evolve our architecture and engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the technology environment.
  • Formulate and communicate technical vision and strategy to technology and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and formalize requirements.
  • Establish the collaboration framework for multiple scrum teams.
  • Mentor development teams around deliveries and quality of delivery
  • Manage developers for the assigned team.
  • Participate in technology selection.
  • Control and accelerate solution development.
  • Conduct code, design, and architectural reviews.
  • Support project and program management
  • Participate in project planning and estimation.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent
  • Over 15 years of hands-on software engineering experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft technology frameworks, solutions, and tools
  • Experience designing and developing applications at an enterprise level.
  • Proficiency in cloud development, with a preference for AWS
  • Experience with designing and building large-scale application platforms.
  • Strong understanding of database performance tuning, especially in SQL Server.
  • Excellent problem-solving & troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Business Analysis and DevOps
  • Strong project and program management skills
  • Knowledge of the Financials Data industry is a plus.
  • Experience in Data Science and Machine Learning is an added advantage.

  • Analytical mindset with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making
  • Strong aptitude for project and resource management
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach
  • Skilled in persuasion and negotiation, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders.
