Your Role
The role is critical to ensure the delivery of digital capabilities across Invesco by leading the function to ensure funded projects are driven effectively and efficiently assuring delivery on time and within budget.
You Will Be Responsible For:

The four main pillars of success in this role would be:

• Delivery Focus: Ensuring strong delivery & executional excellence, managing the day-to-day planning and operations of project implementation, driving and motivating the team by championing it. Being hands on and exhibiting extreme ownership. Ensuring projects are staffed with the right personnel for the job with the necessary skills, experience, knowledge, and abilities. Identifies potential risks involved in a project and develops plans to mitigate the same.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Helping to drive the overall distribution technology strategy by partnering with the leadership post reviewing the business and the technology landscape. Working with external stakeholders such as clients or other departments within the organization to ensure that projects meet their requirements. Communicating with clients to gather inputs about the project needs and provides status updates. Working very closely with local product owners to assure local roadmaps are up to date. Maintaining ongoing conversation to ensure a continuous dialogue.

• Tech Leadership: Leading a team of project managers, scrum masters and other partners involved in the projects. Working closely with the technology leadership to drive the resource planning for different functions based on the local strategies. Championing the agile framework and ways of working. Developing project management methodology and tools that can be used across functions. Streamlining the recurring reports & tracking processes to enable the organization to be up to date on latest industry developments and improve productivity and efficiency. Developing and managing a distribution technology site (moving away from e-mails) that becomes a one-stop shop for all communication, documentation, calendars etc. for both the business and technology. Overseeing budgetary requirements including annual planning and major expenditure request process.

• Driving Engagement: Looking after the team’s morale by engaging them meaningfully. Being the culture #GreaterPossibilitiesTogether career and investing in developing the team’s strengths & capabilities. Developing and executing communications, story lines and presentations, including town halls and leadership off-sites to communicate the linkage between everyday work and business objectives to the team. Handling communication channels between the team and the organization across all the levels.

The Experience You Bring:

• Proven experience of 15 to 18 years as a product manager, product owner or a similar role in software development

• Experience in people management with a demonstrated ability to coach and develop talent

• Strong leadership with sound verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders

• Agile product management capabilities, especially with large scale, distributed web products

• Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making

• Ability to breakdown complex global problems into simple solutions focused on the customer needs

• Focus on data-driven approaches to solve problems and to accelerate the learning process to validate solutions

• Experience in agile development tools such as Jira and Confluence to create user stories and author product documentation

• Collaborative and influential approach to appropriately engage with team members to accomplish objectives

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment in a professional and timely manner

Academic requirements:

• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science / IT

• MBA / M.Tech is preferred
