Are you an experienced Android Engineering Manager looking for your next challenge? Dazn is seeking a talented and motivated individual to lead our engineering team. You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers, driving the development of our mobile platforms, and ensuring that our technology meets the needs of our growing customer base.

As our new Engineering Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead engineering teams composed of Android Developers and Mobile QA
  • Contribute to the technical strategy and collaborate with key stakeholders to influence the product outcome both for long and short-term goals.
  • Set goals and priorities for your engineering team.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to individual team members to help them achieve their goals.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, such as code reviews, testing, and bug triage.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as product management and delivery, to ensure that development work is aligned with business goals & needs.
  • Build and maintain a strong engineering culture, including fostering innovation, promoting technical excellence, and encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members.
  • Create a culture of freedom and responsibility that shines through quality and on-time delivery.
  • Drive excellence across engineering teams by supporting modern software engineering practices.

You'll have:

  • An expertise in mobile apps and technology with experience building great native or hybrid mobile apps for Android.
  • Overall experience of 8 to 12 years, with 5+ years leading and mentoring technical teams that support and partner with international technology and product teams.
  • Experience in a management role, with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.
  • Hands on experience of Android, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, SOLID Principles, Android System Design.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in building apps that have been released to the Android Play Store.
