About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Analytics Associate
In this role, you will:
- Use data research capabilities to translate business problems and data needs into low complexity analyses and recommendations
- Develop standard and customized reports or ad hoc analyses to be leveraged for recommendations
- Provide updates to project logs, monthly budget forecasts, and contribute to monthly newsletters or operations reviews
- Participate in projects including assisting systems support group with design, programming, research, testing, and implementation aspects
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving with respect to production or issuance issues
- Assist with developing departmental and division procedures, policies, and controls to maintain the accuracy and efficiency of processes and minimize the risk of incorrect production and issuance output
- Work on data and business research projects, secondary research testing, or results oriented intelligence
- Receive direction from supervisor, exercise independent judgment and partner with technology and other business groups
- Participate with other consultants or program managers on tasks related to the completion of other various projects including project design, collection and research of data, report preparation, or presentation design
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
- Experience with BSA/AML/OFAC laws and regulations.
- UAT/regression testing experience on data outputs involving complex data mapping designs.
- Lead or participate in providing technology initiatives for simple to moderately complex business problems within technology business systems
- Contribute to the development of systems and procedures that are both cost effective and meet the relevant business requirements.
- Advanced SQL
- Teradata experience is desired
- Act as an internal consultant within technology and business groups by using quality tools and process definition or improvement to re-engineer technical processes.
- Collaborate and consult with business and technology teams to evaluate and resolve issues in order to provide technological solutions and manage both project schedules and deliverables.
- Coordinate communication and information flow between business and technology teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
- Experience with RCSA process for implementing and managing system data expected output controls
- Experience in conducting data quality analysis to support modelling
- Knowledge of fin crime data quality activities and controls required for large financial institutions.
- Demonstrate experience with report and dashboard generation using large data sets, including non-standard data is desired but not mandatory
- Familiarity with conducting data quality analysis to support modelling.
- Aptitude for synthesizing data to 'form a story'
- Demonstrate experience supporting BSA/AML and sanctions monitoring systems for global multi-channeled financial institution
- Prior Experience enhancing AML Monitoring Models and Systems.
- Eagerness and ability to learn new technologies and programming languages.
- Intellectually curious, enjoy solving problems.
Job Expectations:
