Impact
As an experienced AEM Developer, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing AEM-based systems for Pitney Bowes. Working alongside the development and support teams, your primary focus will be ensuring the smooth operation of AEM environments, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing new features. You will handle a variety of responsibilities related to AEM support, deployment, and administration, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and optimal system performance.
The Job

Provide timely production support to resolve critical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless business operations.

Experience with the latest and greatest web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3 and using PB’s Design System in the working repository

Knowledge of web libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, SASS/LESS and JavaScript
-
Actively participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring iterative delivery of high-quality features.

Responsible for managing the AEM production environment, including resolving tickets related to deployments, content synchronization, and system performance.
-
Handle production deployments, package installations, and version updates for both Author and Publisher instances, ensuring minimal downtime and smooth transitions.

Execute cache clearing and content synchronization tasks in the production environment as needed to ensure the speed of content delivery.
-
Monitor the AEM Author and Publisher environments, ensuring high availability, optimal performance, and proactive issue resolution.
-
Address and resolve various production issues, including dispatcher log cleanup, disk space management on Publisher servers, and system performance optimizations.
-
Contribute to AEM development tasks, including the creation and customization of components, templates, workflows, and other AEM modules, ensuring continuous development progress.

Design and develop component models for a digital platform (web and mobile) using AEM.

Hands-on coding experience in developing templates, components, dialogs, workflows, models, and OSGI services within AEM.

Manage dispatcher caching behavior, DAM assets, metadata, and metadata schemas for effective content management and delivery.
-
Interpret and translate wireframes and creative designs into functional and technical requirements, integrating RESTful APIs and third-party systems into the overall architecture.
Qualifications & Skills required
The role requires a talented self-directed individual with a strong work ethic and the following skills:

UG - B.Tech/B.E. OR PG M.S. / M.Tech REC or above

5-8 years’ experience of developing web-based applications

AEM expertise

Java, Servlet and JSP development

Experience with AEM Developer tools like Apache Sling and CRXDE

Knowledge of AEM Core Components and Content Management System

Knowledge of AEM DAM (Digital Asset Management)

Knowledge of AEM Deployment and AEM Dispatcher
-
Good experience with Sightly (HTL), HTML, CSS, JavaScript
-
Experience with the Java Content Repository (JCR) API
-
Web services creation and consumption
-
Experience of OSGi and its Declarative Services

Advanced knowledge of HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS3, responsive web designs and patterns.

Strong Experience with jQuery, JavaScript

Experience in any JS framework is helpful & Angular JS 1.x and higher versions is a must.

Experience with web automation tools (e.g. Gulp, NPM, and Bower)

Experience with RESTful web services, AJAX, JSON

Experience with Sass CSS preprocessor

Experience with Git, SVN code repositories

Knowledge of cross-browser limitations

Solid attention to detail and an appreciation for great UI design

Experience in working directly with the US teams.
