Financial services provider Western Union announced the launch of its new global capacity center in Hyderabad. The center was opened in collaboration with HCLTech, a tech company with a footprint spanning 60 countries.
The new facility will help Western Union focus on AI innovation and fuel transformation and is complementary to its Pune Tech Center. Staff at Western Union’s new global capacity center will focus on tech, engineering and operations to support the company’s next generation of payments infrastructure solutions. The facility will leverage HCLTech’s AI-powered solutions to help enhance digital consumer experiences and develop new capabilities.
“This center represents an important step in Western Union’s transformation journey and expansion in India,” Devin McGranahan, president and CEO of Western Union, said in a statement. “Through our strategic partnership with HCLTech, we are combining deep engineering expertise with advanced AI capabilities to go beyond payments, accelerate innovation and deliver seamless, secure experiences for millions of customers worldwide.”
