Fintech company InvoiceCloud opened a Hyderabad office to extend the capabilities of its product and development teams. The move marks the company’s first international office launch and coincides with news of the hiring of Rakesh Chawla who will oversee the Hyderabad site, serving as vice president of engineering and managing director. Chawla spent several years working in engineering leadership for U.S.-based tech companies and has past experience managing development centers in Hyderabad and Pune.

InvoiceCloud makes digital payment solutions that utility providers, insurance companies, local government agencies and consumer finance organizations use to simplify electronic billing and improve customer engagement. The Hyderabad office will foster software engineering talent that specializes in cloud, artificial intelligence and web development.

“Hyderabad boasts exceptional technical talent and leadership that naturally aligns with our long-term company goals. Making digital payments as simple as possible for everyone requires constant innovation. By tapping into this highly skilled workforce, we will continue to set new industry standards for customer value through our transformative solutions,” InvoiceCloud CEO Kevin O’Brien said in a statement.
