About the job:
Red Hat's Digital Experience Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us. In this role, you will inspire and work with a team of dedicated software engineers. You will be part of a team that is focused on software development that may include back-end technologies mostly and some front-end technologies. Most of the work is centered around the back end services and app services. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will also work with the Quality Engineering (QE) , Dev-Ops, other development teams and other stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
An important part of the role is stakeholder management and engagement to ensure queries about the existing modules deployed are answered on time. This will require the associate to consume significant knowledge of architecture, code and infrastructure during their onboarding.
What will you do?

Perform design, implementation, and review Java Spring Boot based applications and modules

Communicate and help coordinate dates, deliverables, feature requirements, roadmaps, etc.

Mentor some associates to facilitate continuous learning.

Work with leadership to ensure everyone is lock in step with the team’s strategic direction

Work with technical team on architecture, code reviews and supporting the team
What will you bring?

Knowledge of OpenShift or similar Kubernetes platform
-
Good knowledge of App Services and middleware technologies that includes, but is not limited to Apache Camel, Kafka, Spring Boot and GraphQL
-
Ability to support front end applications and knowledge of JS frameworks like React, Nodejs, Typescript

Quick Learner who can get quickly onboarded and start contributing

Stakeholder engagement to ensure queries are responded on time

Previous experience in maintaining existing modules that have short SLAs and are time sensitive in case of outages and vulnerabilities

Strategic insights to ensure right features are prioritized

Good communication skills to work with the team

Ability to work independently with other teams to foster collaboration

6+ Years of experience required

Good verbal and written communication skills in English
