About the Position
Goodyear is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our Innovation Technology Team! In this role, you will support OEM’s along with Goodyear to bring best in class experiences for consumers.
This position will focus on analyzing/executing customer requirements, creating software design, and testing/implementing software for AUTOSAR systems.

Primary Responsibilities
- Working with software and system teams to lead the AUTOSAR development workflow including system description, development of components, integration of components to the system, deployment on target hardware, debugging using tools for embedded systems
- Act as the AUTOSAR Subject Matter Expert during software architecture and development phases
- Provide AUTOSAR technical leadership and mentoring for other engineers in the organization
- Development (design, implement, test and debug) of core and/or application specific software requirements for automotive embedded electronic module serial production projects
- Develop software in compliance with a formal ASPICE based Global Product Engineering Process (GPEP)
- Verify software requirements at component and bench level
- Support rest of the functional disciplines with all aspects related to software
- Perform complex work assignments requiring independent problem solving and decision making, requiring strong software technical competency
- Coordination of integration of core and/or 3rd party software into an application specific software ECU
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent (Master’s preferred)
- 9+ years’ relevant experience for automotive electronics serial development projects
- Good understanding of AUTOSAR Development Workflow
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field
- Involvement in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong embedded hardware/software background including working with peripherals
- Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD, ETH, LIN, SPI, etc. using tools like CANalyzer etc.
- Proficient in C and familiar with C++
