As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation and support of enterprise solutions focused on the areas of Network (LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewall) and datacenter technologies.
Responsibilities
- Skilled administration of network systems
- Plan, design, deploy, troubleshoot, and audit end-to-end network solutions
- Participate in engineering discussions, working with internal and external teams to
- Be an escalation point for our Tier 1 support
- Planning, implementation, and maintenance of a multitude of communications platforms and technologies.
- Work closely with other engineers and architects to develop technical documents, and to implement new technologies as part of large-scale lifecycle programs and enterprise key initiative.
- Track and resolve issues as they come in
- Work with operations to understand and resolve network issues
- Follow ITSM/ITIL procedures regarding changes and incidents
- Communicate updates to necessary parties
- Ownership, coordination, and collaboration for any issues brought to your attention to resolution
- Manage escalations and expedite with vendors when necessary
- 5+ years of experience working with network services, including: routing, switching, VPN/tunnelling, wireless, load balancers, oob, datacenter, and firewalls
- Knowledge across diff types of network connectivity tech such as: MPLS, VPN, Internet, SDWAN, and point-to-point
- An understanding of the OSI model and how systems and services operate within the model
- Familiarity with enterprise-class network management and analysis systems, such as : ManageEngine, Ekahau, and Wireshark
- Capable of implementing network systems, including: creating configuration cutsheets/runbook, change requests, and handoff docs for operations
- Experience troubleshooting networked systems and working with operations teams for problem isolation and resolution
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
- Must have problem solving skills and the ability to multitask
- Ability to work under pressure and at a huge volume and fast pace environment
